Verve Studio’s Voice Over Level 1 – Revamped and Expanded!
Have you ever been told, “You have a great voice — you should do voice over!”?
Or maybe you’ve listened to a commercial, audiobook, or cartoon and thought, “I could do that!”
Now’s your chance to find out.
In this newly updated 4-week course, you’ll explore the exciting world of voice over and learn how to get started as a voice actor — right here in Arizona.
In this class, you’ll learn:
· The foundational skills every voice actor needs
· Vocal warm-ups and performance techniques
· Script analysis and how to bring words to life
· An introduction to the voice over industry
We’ll cover a variety of VO types, including:
· Commercials (for radio, TV, and social media)
· Audiobooks
· IVR and phone messaging
Voice Over is more than just speaking into a microphone — it’s a creative, challenging, and rewarding craft. Whether you’re curious about the field or ready to pursue it seriously, this class is the perfect place to start.

Basic Voice Over Recoding & Editing
About the Class
Learn how to record, edit, and submit industry-standard MP3 voice over auditions from your home studio.
Today, most voice over auditions are recorded and submitted from home. Knowing how to create a quality recording—and having the right equipment and setup—can make you a more competitive and viable VO talent.
This hands-on class covers everything from creating an effective recording space and choosing equipment at different budget levels to editing your raw audio and formatting it for industry - standard submission.
This Class Is For:
- Actors represented by an across-the-board talent agent who want to feel more confident about turning in requested mp3 VO auditions.
- Voice over Actors that have started studying the craft, but lack the technical know-how.
- This class is focused on the technical side of voice over recording and editing—not performance.
- Anyone looking to improve their technical recording and editing skills (content creators, podcasters, hosts, influencers)
CLASS 1: HOME STUDIO SETUP
Learn how to maximize your recording space and choose, set up, and use the equipment you need to create quality voice over recordings—including options for different budgets.
Bring: A laptop with a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) installed such as Audacity (free), Twisted Wave or Adobe Audition.
CLASS 2: RECORDING & EDITING
Learn how to take your raw WAV recording and turn it into a polished, industry-standard MP3 audition. You'll learn basic editing, effects, formatting, and best practices for submitting competitive VO auditions.
Bring: Your laptop and DAW from week one, plus a WAV recording made in your home studio. You must have access to a microphone at home.
Level up your VO auditions. Get competitive. Get industry-ready.
Adult class. Open to ages 18+.
6 HOURS OF CLASS!
3-hour class once a week for two weeks.
Maximum: 10 students.
This class is offered 1 time per calendar year.

Join professional voice over artist Jen Greenfield for Verve Studio’s exciting new Voice Over Level 2 course.
We’ll cover a variety of VO types, including:
· Commercials (for radio, TV, and social media)
· Industrial/Co-Ed Narration
· Animation
Adult class. Open to ages 18+. that have taken Intro to Voice Over, Voice Over Level 1 or are a currently auditioning Voice Over actor.
